Yukon Archives has a large collection of books and serials about Yukon and its surrounding regions. These materials cover a wealth of subjects, including Yukon and northern history, environment, ethnography, science and nature, exploration, and others.
It is a non-circulating library. This means that when you request materials, you can read them in the Archives’ research room but not borrow them for use off-site.
You can search the archives collection through the Yukon Public Libraries catalogue. Search results show the library location for each item. As well, you can find electronic versions of some current and historical publications through the public library catalogue.
The Digital Library features rare and hard-to-find Yukon-related published material from the Yukon Archives library collection. You can search and browse this growing collection of full-text published and archival materials dating back to the 1880s. You can explore material covering subjects such as history, geology, mining and First Nations. Most of the titles are out of copyright and in the public domain.
